So...

Okay. I've been working for this "Major Insurance Company" as a consultant for the last month or so. Now, it takes 6 months or more to really learn a system environment. And 2 years to master an OS. So I'm working on an OS that I'm not really a master of, another OS I have never seen, and I'm working with about 60 distinct systems. And I am new the 4th best admin on the team based on basic talent. The top 3 know the systems and I don't. And there is 14 people on the team. I don't know if that's a scary assessment of the quality of people they are hiring through contractors (the throw the bodies at the problem method) or a stunning assessment of my own ability. But remember, I amn a lazy bastard. LAZY! So I think it's cause they hire really ridiculously poor people to throw at the problem. Why is it that giant corporations think that is the solution to their probblems? I should be the worst admin on the team. I'm the newest by months. I don't even know one of the operating systems. I mean Jesus Christ people! Some of these people are lazier than Californians:P. Really! I don't have a good work ethic. So why am I so much better than most of these people?
