Dancing with the Stars, week 3

Well, Ian and Cheryl were extremely good last night. Joey and Kim irritated me. Lisa and Heather irritated me. Shandi sucked.

So, Shandi was eliminated. Should have been Heather, but oh well.

Awww...I liked Joey and Kym.

Ian and Cheryl were good but what was the deal with the misstep? Correct me if I'm wrong but the camera went kerflooey at the point. Did Ian knock into it?

I was only slightly disappointed that Shandi was eliminated. Actually, I really couldn't have cared less for Shandi but I do like Brian so I'm sorry to see him go.

I can't wait until next week. I love the Paso Doble and loved watching the dancers perform it tonight.

The theme from Star Wars is not fitting music for a tango, and it annoyed me. The tango is supposed to be steamy and sexy, and their tango was neither. It was just weird.

The misstep was just a missed step. His feet stopped moving for about a bar. If you track it down from the Dancing with the Stars website, it has good video of where he messed up. I don't know what happened with the camera man.

In fact, the camera work was subpar all week. There were a bunch of missed shots in the results show too.

I like the Paso Doble when it is performed well (Emmitt or Joey last season) or when the dancer has the joy of dancing that makes it entertaining (Jerry, last season). I don't like it when it is stupidly serious (Mario) or just plain bad (Master P, Jerry Rice).

I'm looking forward to the Waltz. I prefer ballroom to latin anyway. What I'm really looking forward to is when Joey and Kim, Ian and Cheryl, and John and Edyta do the foxtrot...my favorite dance to watch.

This is actually my first season of watching Dancing with the Stars. I did see the last few eps of last season because I wanted to see Emmitt but that's it.

I can't wait for next month when So You Think You Can Dance comes back for a second season. I loved its first season and wanted to see them when they toured but they sold out almost immediately.
